A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood ...

Bob reports this afternoon that Debra is doing just great! She was up most of the morning, had a nice lunch, ventured down the outside stairs and actually walked about a half-block in the neighborhood on this beautiful spring day!

She is also enjoying very much the posted comments to the blog. Please feel free to pass the address (DebraDanburg.blogspot.com) along to others whom you know would like to send their 'well wishes.'

Cards can be sent to: 1828 Avenue M, Galveston, Texas 77550.

Glad to hear this good news--and sorry I did not get by the hospital. Prepare to have burning ears tomorrow night. Stiles and Hightower have put together a little dinner for Pete after his CPPP soiree in the middle of the day. Updates will be given, and I'm sure that will prompt many untrue(?) stories about your adventures in the legislature. If Dylan and I are both germ free this week-end, I'll run by and say hi. If you need anything from Austin, my cell is 409-761-0606. Will be there till Thursday morning. I wish I could stay that afternoon--they are hearing all the CHIP bills. I want to go and sing Daisy Mae's song from Lil Abner--"Put em (it) back--the way they was--put em back the wa-ay the-ey was..."

Debra -
Ann McN finally came over and helped me figure out how to post comments - I feel like a moron. Still, have had you and Bob in my thoughts and prayers, and am glad things are going well. Sam & Cele Keeper said to please pass along their best wishes, too. I hear you've got a trip to Patagonia planned, and would love to talk to you about it - it's divine.
I know you'll recover quickly, and that you have the strength to deal with whatever therapies are chosen.
All my best -
Sarah Darneille

Hey Deb:

So happy to hear you are up and about. You (and Bob) are very much in David's and my thoughts.
You are an incredible person, and we expect a full recovery for you

Love,

Debra, I'm trapped at home w/o voice and can't access ML email. New home e-address is same as ML, if you substitute a dot for the underscore and use @gmail.com ~ have you walked back down the stairs? Into the garden? As far as Kitty's?
