Up and At 'Em ...

Bob reports this morning that Debra continues to do well -- and, although still slightly jaundiced, that her good color is returning! Yea...

He also reports she's pretty alert (especially considering all the post-surgical medications) -- happy, smiling, and consuming ice chips and water.

Plans for today include getting her up and out of bed -- at least for a little while.

Please check back for further updates as they are available and keep sending her your positive thoughts and well wishes.

Debra: Maureen told me of your surgery just before it occurred. So far the news sounds very good, and I'm sure that it will continue so. It's just another campaign, after all, and the opponent is short of money, while all of the people are on your side.

Wow! Funny the things that can transpire in a couple of weeks. Deb, I don't know if this surgery was on your plate when you came to my show or not. You did well to not show it if it was. I am sending you loving thoughts for a safe and healthy recovery. With kindest regards, Kellye Gray

Dearest Debra:

I hope for your speedy recovery. You have always been very kind to me since we first met in the early 1980's--and I never forget those who have been kind. The Texas Legislature is simply not the same without you. Thank you for the kind words that you have spoken on my behalf over the many years--they have always been greatly appreciated. You are truly unique and special.
